My Wife's gonna kill me but............

Was just doing some surfing and decided to check out Cabelas.  Was scrolling slowly down the airgun page looking at all the airguns I've looked at a thousand times when all of a  sudden my finger stopped scrolling the mouse and my eyes got wide.  There I was, sitting there looking at the word SALE in big red letters and above it was a GAMO 890 .177 with a BSA 3x12x50 AO scope for $129 bucks.  Not a refurb but a brand new one.  I've always wanted an 890, have just always liked them, but just didn't have the extra cash to shell out for the price they usually go for.  

My wife is sitting about 5 feet away watching some "chick flick" on the tv, and I know she can hear me typing away on the keyboard, but I also know she doesn't know I just finished confirming my Cabelas order for the 890.  I just had to do it though for that price, I just couldn't pass it up !!  At least the credit card bill won't arrive until after Christmas.................I wonder if she'd believe I bought it for her for Christmas?

Anyway, just wanted to pass on the Cabelas sale,,,,, they also had a couple of other GAMO rifles on sale for great prices..................Good shootin all.................

Well I broke down and ordered one also, just wish they had them in .22 cal. Over at MidSouth they have them for $258.19 and MidSouth usally has some of the best prices. I just happen to have a cupon I receivd from Cabela's last week for $20.00 off anything over $100.00 so I got it for $119.00. The BSA scope that comes on the rifle sells for around $90.00, I didn't really need the gun but just couldn't pass up saveing around $140.00.

I have the same scope on one of my S1k's and really like it.  As for the 890 I've always liked the gun, and have wanted one for awhile, so for the Cabelas price I just couldn't pass it up.  Natchez is selling the 890 in .22 cal for $209 but I really didn't want to spend that much and I already have 4 .22's to hunt with anyway.  

Well, enjoy your new rifle when you get it.  Good shooting.

$159 in combo form. again only on 177 its getting impowwable to find 22 caliber Gamos any longer the avaiable stocks are drying up. I'm glad i got my Black Shadow Supreme combo when I did for $149. Sweet rifle. Gotta get my new MB on that sucker and do some more shooting with it. (Been shooting pistols lately and befour that my HW35)

I had bought an 890S a couple of years ago for my wife and it is a nice shooting gun....of course I paid around $270.00 back then.  At the price Cabelas has them listed at now it's like buying the scope (its a decent scope) and almost getting the airgun for free....ya can't beat that.

     I have had my model 890, .177 cal. for almost a year. When I first got it the trigger was terrible but I put one of CDT's gold triggers on it this Spring and it made it an excellent shooting rifle. It is a real pleasure to shoot. It is my Daughter's favorite rifle to shoot. I really like the rifle and it shoots hard and straight. I have a Bushnell 4 x 12 x 40 A/O and BKL mounts on mine. It will shoot one hole groups, at 25 yds. with CPL's. I know you will enjoy yours. I plan on doing some Crow hunting with mine this Spring. Best of luck...

Hey Rabbit,

I was really glad to hear how much you and your daughter like the 890, makes me feel even better about the purchase.  Something about the 890 has always caught my eye, and I've just always wanted one, so when I saw it on Cableas for $129 I just couldn't pass it up.

I plan on putting one of CDT's triggers in it also, just have to wait until after Christmas to order the trigger as I've spent my last nickel today when I took my daughter Christmas shopping.  Will probably change the scope mounts to an Accushot 1 piece also.

Okay, you guys really went and got me in trouble this time.  I been stewing over that 890 for nearly 2 week and thinking of all the reasons I shouldn't buy another airgun.  Well, I bought that Cabelas $129 890s today.  I see everywhere else that gun sells for $229.  How could I pass up a deal like that.  I couldn't afford not to buy it.

I think I saw a post from Rich where he said he can re-barrel them with a Walther .20 cal barrel, which I think he said he had in stock.  Check with him.
