I may be mistaken but I think David Kirby first used that when he bought his first PCP..  Up untill then we were a 100% springer, Co2, HPA, and Pump forum. After the bug with PCP's hit the GTA I decided to start a new catagory with the PCP's and named it the Dark Sideres Forum..:) Us springer guys always looked at PCP's coming from the Dark Side..:) Hope that makes sense
THE ONES I SLEEP WITH: BSA Lightning XL, AA TX-200, AA ProSport, BSA Ultra, HW-97K, Crosman NPSS .177, FX Cyclone, HW-30 Nicle Plated, AA-S200, Crosman Marauder, CZ-634, R-9 DG, Webley/Scott UK Tomahawk, Benji Kantana, Benji Marauder, Benji Discovery.....

Jay got it right on the money....Airgunners being Jedis of the Force, the allure of the easy power and accuracy of PCP rifles is the dark side of "the Force."

Right Peak and "J" . Springers are tough to master , the dark side is easy way to success . Accuracy is immediate . Once drawn in it's hard to break Free. I maybe used the phrase first on the GTA , but I didn't come up with it ; It's been called that for a while. kirby

You got that right Z06. After getting to be a pretty decent shot with my RX-1,  shooting the Condor felt like auto-pilot.
