TF97 shooting results
« on: February 13, 2009, 02:36:07 PM »
Well I got the TF back together after a lube tune and wanted to give it a go in this weekends matches.

I shot this from a bench using Daisy .22 pellets. I think the misses were bad pellets cause I was holding exactly the same every time....

It's had only about 75 pellets through it since I lubed it up and de-burred it so It should get better. I have tried 4 different pellets to date and so far these Daiseys shoot the best. I only get 515fps out of them as compared to 550 with the RWS Hobby, but they seem to be more acurate at this point.

For $60.00, I'm really having fun with this gun!!!

I agree that these lower cost, and lower power air rifles are really fun to tinker with and shoot.  lf I mess something up while tinkering with it, I won't feel too bad because it isn't a great financial loss and the lower power rifles are less likely to offend the neighbors.  Looks like you are getting there.  I have heard good things about JSB pellets in .22 caliber.  You might try some of these some time.
