Started the rustoration of my Milbro G46
« on: February 18, 2009, 10:31:00 AM »
(Diana 27 based English springer)  Applied some oil and 0000 steel wool and watched all the orange come off.  Got some spots of serious pitting on the barrel.  There are bits of bright bluing (?) here and there, but the metal looks a bit like it was never high polished or deeply blued to start with.  Funny, those blokes.  They can really cut gunsmithing corners when they've a mind to.  I see now why the lads on the Airguns BBS lean towards painting them.
Glued up the stock.  Not the bestus job but it will do.  Crack ran all the way back through the trigger mortise.

Next stops - strip stock and build compressor.
