Hey all.

I mentioned to daved in my last post that I'd be taking the time to chrono all my pellets and sure enough, Sunday was a good day.

So here's my numbers.  Lemme know if you see anything wrong, please.

As far as accuracy goes only 3 of them are worth my use right now. The Wolverine FTs, the Predators and the Diabolos. None of the rest of them grouped well enough at 30 yards to bother with. I'll add my findings of the Kodiaks and Exacts once I get them.

Those JSB Predators certainly do retain their down range energy don't they?  I was very glad to see that as they are my primary hunting pellet.

Here's my current numbers.  Interesting note from some of my earlier testing, with the exception of the Predators and the FTS's, all the others lost a little velocity.  By little, I'm talking less than 10 fps.  Predators picked up 1 fps, FTS's picked up 4 fps.  Extreme spread dropped across the board, with the exception of the Kodiaks.  This, combined with the torquing I've whined about earlier, and a recent conversation with Bob, have me convinced I need to tear it down and do a lube tune.  Merry Christmas to all, and more later.

Just in case your interested, my 350 shoots the Walmart CP HP  well, by that I mean 1" at 60yards.  I was surprised cuase the pellet only weighs 8 grains.  Most of the pellets brands weighing less than 10 grains that I tested for accruracy were iffy at best.  Some didnt even make it to the target.  One thing I do with them is run batches across a jewelers scale and throw anything weighing less than standard.  One out of ten will weigh less, some going as light as 7.4 gr.  With good batches it shoots flat.  I shoot .177 BTW.

I have my 350 .22 sighted in for the JSB Predators now, but  the gun also shoots those Crosman Premier Hollow Points with deadly accuracy.  Dime sized groups without a problem.  I use the predators on small game, but on occassion I use the gun for shooting pigeons and starlings and rathe than waste the pricey predators on the birds I use the CPHP's an they work well.

I just ordered some CP HP in .22 along with a couple other brands of rounds including CP Rounds and Logon Penetrators.

Loingislandhunter's comments on the CP HP got me to thinking I should look for them.  Unforatunately, my 350 being a .22 I have not seen any CP HP in stores.  I have to order them over the internet.   Eager to get them though and see what they do.
