Gamo match#3 166 2X
« Reply #2 on: February 20, 2009, 11:27:07 PM »
Started well and then went to pot! I know I can shoot better but I keep on getting fliers when I loose my concentration or pull the 'silky smooth' Gamo trigger!  Next week will be better!
Shot with the Gamo Maxima .22 with Barsca 3-12*50 IR Scope and Gamo Match pellets

Robert Gowan's score 179
« Reply #3 on: February 21, 2009, 08:48:27 AM »
I invited a friend, Robert Gowan, over to shot with me. Competition is always for fun with more people.

Robert shot my crosman 2400 LW Barrel converted to PCP with discovery internals. It has a Barksa 4x21 scope on it.

He shot a 179

Since I let Robert shot my crosman 2400, the gun I used for both previous comps, I had to shot something different. I shot my Walther LGM-2. It is a SSP rifle with diopter sights.  It is the same model (not same rifle) that won some Gold medals in the 1996 Olympic games.   This gun is unbelievably accurate. It really removes any doubt about why a shot went wide. Anything not in the ten ring is my fault.

I shot a 191.

Hi ... sorry but was having one of my "bad days" with legs locked up with nerve spasms ... so didn't want to have to forgo a little fun, and shot target from my low camp stool ... you don't need to count my score in the "positions" tally !

Since I'm not too keen on messing with my Fav hunting rig set-up's,...I thought I'd use one of my Marksman's for this weekends "open" match. After two match target rounds with the Benji's,..this little springer was a much needed relief,...thank God!!! Basic set up as two weekes ago,...but I've worked on getting the glass set right for this distance,...I must be doing something right because my #'s are looking a little better,....damn wind didn't help though!!!! tjk

Tried out a new one today. Showed up at my door along with two others from little brother.

Baikal 512M in .22 with 4 power scope.
10Meters outdoors with3 to 5 mph winds crossing from the left
400# trigger(well not really, but it sure felt like it!!)
Score 163

I like this little airgun. It would shoot a 200 off the bench but that trigger has to go!!

OK. Here's mine. Crazy weekend, barely enough time to shoot this one match.

Rifle:  IZH MP512M .22 caliber w/ BSA 4x32AO air rifle scope

Ammo: Gamo Hunters

Score: 166
If I only could control the shakes better!
Judging that last target (lower left), if I get more practice with this rifle, I canl be doing some good shootin'!

Trigger? What's wrong with the trigger???   :)

400lbs? What a wimp. It ain't a pound over 300!!!

It's actually nicer than the trigger in my old Glenfield .22 rimfire.
