B-28 Arrival
« on: February 25, 2009, 06:45:35 AM »
My Mike Melick tuned B-28 arrived today. I had to go home at lunch forgot the send in my time sheet. She was there waiting for me. Got my time sheet sent off and started digging in. I got her out and man what a beast of a rifle. I will say this if you think you want one and have never held one the are not lite. The gun is somewhat heavy and long. I have not measured it but its a good 6-8" longer the my B-26 and an easy pound heavier. I got a couple shoots off be heading back. She kicks like a mule you can feel the power when you pull the trigger. It will be a while before and really send some led down range. I have a gun show to do this weekend and flying out west next week to drive back to florida with my little brother so maybe the week after that I can do some real shooting and do a review for those that might be interested in taming the beast.

Well, if it's anything like a 350 Mag it's overall length will be 48 inches!  I think that's why alot of folks are doing barrel cuts on them...  they carbine-out GREAT!  Mine's due for a cut soon too!

Enjoy your new B-28...   take some pictures, load er' up and shoot some stuff, take pictures of that too and post em' up on GTA!  We LIKE seeing things like that!

I'm going to shoot it for a bit then make my decision on chopping her. I was not so lucky to get one with out the droop. I have the scope twisted all the way down and still can't get zeroed. I'll try more later.

Unfortunately not in this gun. The RWS Superdomes were just over 800. I haven't shot it enough to break in the new seal but I'm not sure it will pick up that much fps but who knows.
