Dow Corning G-n Metal Assembly Paste
« on: March 06, 2009, 01:00:49 PM »

Not sure where to post this question, but I found a 2.8 oz. tube of Dow Corninng G-n Metal Assembly Paste. I looked on their sight, but no percentage of how much moly is in it. It's also called Molykote G-nPaste. Would it have any use for the airgun or can it?

Thanks!

I've read of it being used over on AirgunnBBS (a British site)

According to the data sheet from Dow, it contains anywhere from 15 - 40% MoS2 by weight.

Anyone ever heard of using Tungsten Disulfide?  According to this site, it has superior lubricity (although I doubt it would matter in the applications for air guns), and costs about the same.
