adjusting the GTX trigger
« on: January 04, 2007, 12:30:58 AM »
This may be a very silly question but I thought I would try.  I have been shooting a R9 for a few days and love the trigger but it doesn't really feel like a two stage trigger. I like the pull on it and wanted to adjust my GTX trigger to match it as close as possible. Is this possible and which direction am I turning the screw to adjust it for less pull, or is this wishful thinking to try to match them. I love the GTX compared to the stock trigger, but the rekord is really cool. Charlie (Bob) are you out there? If you are the gun is shooting great, thanks again.

Thanks Chuck:

You can shorten the first stage by adjusting the front screw in but if you go to far, you will negate the safety. You can then adjust the second stage in or out very slightly to set the second stage to your desired release. Adjusting the second stage is very close and needs adjusting in very very small increments. Adjusting the second stage screw in lengthens the second stage pull and out shortens it. The adjustment span is about one turn or a little less for the second stage so take care not to adjust it outside of it's limits.
