new rifle?
« on: January 06, 2007, 09:31:27 AM »
just realised when posting to rich below that today is my one year airgun birthday.  Cabelas is about 8 miles north of me, should I head up there and make a purchase to celebrate?  Any suggestions?  Help me please, I can't stop buying them:)

On a side note I haven't smoked any cigarattes since tuesday evening...not even a puff.  I guess so far I've saved about $18, wont buy me much of a new gun though I'm afrad...

...seems to ME that this provides justification for diverting, er, a significant portion of those funds to a non-harmful hobby! And if the promise of more airguns can keep ya from smoking, seems to ME that this is a win-win all the way around, for you AND for your loved ones....

Man, I sorta wish I smoked, so's I could wing a deal like that...

Can't really afford to smoke or buy a new gun, but I do like looking at the most expensive stuff I can find and dream about buying it 6-8 months from now when I've saved all of this money.  Eating tons of candy at the moment, I need to find something to keep me busy.  I've gummed and candied till my mouth is sore, I drank coffee the other day till I was about to bounce off the roof, tried working in the garage, but that's where I usually smoke...I'll figure something out, might just drive up to Cabelas and have a look around, get my mind off of things:)

Sure thing Vince, with the new tax laws ciggies are about $4.59 a pack here in Texas, that's $4.59 a day x 4 days, so about $18.  I wouldn't suggest starting smoking so that you can stop and buy more airguns, something tells me this is the wrong way around the block in this case.  Instead, you could pretend to start smoking, send me $4.59 a day, and I'll buy more airguns and tell you all about them.....deal?

Or one REALLY nice one:)  My birthday is in a month or so too, wife has been saying stuff like,"Ya know, your birthday is coming up" everytime I mention the money I'm saving by not smoking.  I feel it's almost my duty to go check out Cabelas today:)  I may even go see if that other S1K is still at WalMart for $74, it was the last time I was there.
