QB-78 goes super sonic.........
« on: January 06, 2007, 01:26:03 PM »
I made a big mistake today while testing a 78, won't tell you what I did as someone else will try it and get hurt. Got in a big hurry and forgot to do something, chronied at 1175. Filled my shorts I'll tell you and won't forget again. When it happened it blew all the o-rings and probe seal, lucky for me I had my glasses on as they had bits of rubber all over them. I think this may be a record velocity for a 78 while using only one CO2 cylinder.

hehe, nice one Mike!

I have some ideas of what you could have done, but don't think I'll be trying it out for myself so I can see if I'm right:)

btw: Any word on your .25 cal QB conversion?

The time to rebuild is no big deal but it's a waste of good seals. :p  :p

I'll be sending the first .25 out for trials this week, I've gotten so used to working and shooting the 78's I want a real world opinion. The buyer has been getting a selection of pellets etc. together and will be giving me some feed back as to what if anything needs to be done further.
