The Resurrection of the Shroud by Mark Antonacci (2001)
The book discusses the actual scientific tests conducted on the Shroud of Turin the last time and likely the only time the Shroud was and will be actually examined and subjected to scientific study. This is not a "here is how the face was made etc." I had the opportunity to see a replica of the shroud and when you actually see the size front and back you know that the original shroud was not painted. The chapter describing the wounds was especially moving for me.
From Walmart a DVD Collection for 9 dollars from the History Channel--The First Days of Christianity. The set has 4 DVDs, two discussing the Birth and Flight into Egypt and two discussing the Apostles. I watched the first two today and thoroughly enjoyed them. Of course there is some story line built around the facts or history. Maybe I liked it because Roger Moore did the narration. I guess tomorrow I will watch the Apostle DVDs.
