Golden antler 3-9x32 - scope review
« on: January 10, 2007, 12:07:31 PM »
Hello Gamo lovers,

I posted this on the "air gun gate" but since the scope is sitting on a Gamo I thought I would posted it here also.

I got the two Golden Antler 3-9 x 32 scopes that I order from OpticsGiant a couple of weeks ago in today. I already mount one on my stock shadow 1000 with a one piece Gamo mount on it. Within 15 shots I was shooting groups that could be covered by a dime at 10 yards.

I’m really happy with the first 35 shots using the scope. Now if it holds up to the stock springer, I’ll be as happy as a possum eating yellow jackets.

Before the brown Santa visited me today, I was shooting a s1k that Rich tuned for me with a BSA 4-12 x 44 scope on it. I could tell the a difference in the scopes, the Golden Antler was not quite as sharp, but for half the price, it is well worth the money.

After shooting the tuned s1k for a couple of hours, then switching over to the stocked shadow, I realized that a tune job is well worth twice the money.

Now if OpticsGiant restocks the Golden Antler scopes, I think the Brown Santa will be visiting me again with two more Antlers.

Thanks Rich.

I'll order two more before they're out.

I'm enjoying the s1k you tuned, but still haven't gotten a change at shooting targets at 40 or beyond.

I got an e-mail today stating that they were currently out of stock but would be sending one out as soon as they came in.

I just received the dreaded "out of stock" email and they told me they were not charging my credit card so I guess I missed the window of opportunity.  Will have to try again though, I have 2 new Walmart $74 Shadows I need to scope :)

Just hang in on the tasco scopes, they will have them back in stock soon. I never have waited more that two weeks before they sent the back ordered scopes.

I didn't post Its arrival , heard you were in town he he . I pulled it out to make sure they did'nt send me a secondhand special. Checked all the P's and Q's  was getting ready to put a couple rounds through it when " YOU CAN'T SHOOT THAT IN THE HOUSE". Back in the box and out to my shop, she's resting out there, the rifle he he . This weekend I'll put it through a workout. Been so busy getting My B3 ready for the contest and now working on THE SHOP project. Updates coming for sure, what a sharp looking rifle, giddy like a school Guy :p  Ed

Well Ric

I got my dear john from Optic Giant this morning. No scopes left and manufacture has no more to send them. They kindly credited my credit card, offered me a small discount on anything else they sell. But no Tasko Scope..:(

Good Luck
