Adjusting B26 trigger

The trigger on my B26 is set too light, so that sometimes, if you pull the trigger with the safety engaged, and then release the safety, the rifle can fire.  I've read this can happen when the trigger is set too light.  Frankly, it is a little too light for me anyway.

What would the procedure be to heavy up the second stage a little and perhaps lengthen the first stage a bit?  I know it's a clone of the Rekord trigger, but it threaded in reverse?  I just feel it is not safe to use and needs a slight adjust.

For instance, should I close the 2nd stage screw 1/4 turn, and do the same for the 1st stage screw?  Clockwise or counterclockwise?

Try turning the BIG screw behind the trigger in a little 1/4 turn at a time.

for more sear engagement back the front screw out, if it's a stock screw with washers remove it and get a 4mm X 8mm set crew and nut to fit to replace the factory screw

That's odd. I never thought the B26 had a dual stage trigger. Many on the net have said the B26 fell short of copying the Rekord trigger design because it only works as a single stage. Please correct me if I'm wrong but my MM-B26 has only one stage and I'm sure Mike would have set my rifle up to work properly as a dual stage if it was really capable.

Your rifle has a two stage trigger, pull on the trigger and it will move about 1/8 to 1/4 inch then have a bit more resistance, you have now hit the second stage. If the weight is set to light you may not feel the second stage...

Thanks Mike. That would explain it. I lessened the weight on mine by 1/4 turn on the large screw.

if you want you can adjust the trigger, what I like may not be the way you want, see the Pyramydair.com blog, if I remember it tells how to adjust it. I'd tell you how here but it is quicker for you to look at the blog. Not hard to do just have to understand how it works first....if you do have probs let me know...
