TF89 variants

How many versions of the TF89 are there? Or rather, has Compasseco or whoever been subtly upgrading the thing?

I've read about some having plastic triggers, though longislandhunter says he got one with a metal trigger. I can't tell if mine's trigger is metal; it's not magnetic but it seems like it might still be some sort of pot metal instead of plastic. All I know is that plastic or not I really like the trigger, no slop or creep, never even bothered adjusting it out of the box.
All the pics I've seen so far are of ones with metal sights, and compasseco's website says as much, but mine came with fiber optic sights. It's also about 8 oz heavier than their specs, but that's probably just due to variation of the wood's density.
In addition I'm wondering if they've cleaned up their quality control some, mine was a beaut right of the box. The screws were even already snug.
I've also heard of some TF guns coming with clean barrels, but mine definitely benefitted from some JB paste.

Did they change factories or specs or something..? The more posts I look at the more little variations I've noticed. I'm especially puzzled (though pleased) by the fiber optic sights mine showed up with. For reference, I got mine in late January of this year.

**please note that I'm just wondering about the TF89 and not AR1000 variants in general, unless there's been some subtle shifts in those too or they all come from the same exact factory.

You are really talking about the power plant. Titan .177 only, AR1000, TF-89. And a couple Beeman models s. These are all the same power plant with two stage triggers. All are produced in China. Some may be assymbled in Turkey but they originate from China. Stocks are different on all of them. The TF-89 has an metal trigger blade.

Gene, I think you may have misread my post.. I'm wondering about variability in QC and features specific to the rifle branded as the "Tech Force Model 89 Contender Series," not all the different guns built around the same action (AR1000, Beeman fill-in-the-blank, etc).

Again, I'm most intrigued by the fact that mine came with trigger sufficiently to my liking that I didn't bother tinkering with it (it seems pleasantly light to me, but I don't have any means of measuring it), all the screws tight, and especially that it has fiber optic sights.  It just seems to me that there's been some unannounced changes to the gun and its QC. But that could just be me or the infamous variability in QC of Chinese rifles.

 It's a shame I can't comment on mine's performance, seeing as a certain friend of mine dry-fired it to death :0

My TF-89 came with a nice set of fiber optics and I bought it almost two years ago. All the ones I have been tuning up till now have not changed any at all. Some  or most of them have a loose tolerance piston seal, which really needs attention. But some are tighter than others I might add. The triggers do vary with pull poundage. I have seen them as high as 5lbs pull and as low as 3 lbs pull. I think it really comes down to the manufacturing equipment that cuts the tubes and parts for these power plants. As time goes by the tools loose there edge and  you will see more jagged stamped out slots in the chambers. At one point or another like Gamo has done they go back and re set all there equipment back to the original state by replacing or sharpening the dies and stamping tools.  There is only one Chines company that is producing these power plants and boxed under different names. Generally the stocks are different to meet the distributors specs.

I have this exact trigger in my tf89. I have no fiber optics fyi. But the trigger is non magnetic and feels likle coated plastic. Are you saying that this is metal? I am not sure what it is made from?? advise please as you have the knowledge. if the silver tyrigger is metal, what kind of metal is non magnetic and light as plastic.?
