Some PCP questions
« on: April 11, 2009, 12:55:29 PM »
There is an ad on my local craigslist for an Air force Condor with only 50 shots through it. Comes with a Simmons 3 x 9 scope, he said the scope was just under $200. Also comes with the Air Force Hand Pump. All of this for $600. Is this a good deal? Also, what else would I need? Is it a pain in the azz to use the hand pump? Is this rifle accurate? Is it loud? Is it a good quality rifle?
These are my Rifle\'s, there are many like them, but these are mine. TF-89

That's a great price for a Condor, a pump and  a scope,,,,, provided of course that it's in good shape and the seller is reputable.  Keep in mind though that Air Force pumps are known for going bad and as far as I know it's real hard to find rebuild kits.

As for is it a pain in the butt to pump up a Condor... well,,, yes it is...... at least the first time filling the tank from empty.  AFter that using the pump to just "top off" isn't bad at all.

On my Condor I top off the tank after I take 20 or 30 shots and it's really not that bad.  Although my scuba tank is much easier  :)

As for accuracy,,, yes,, the Air force rifles are very accurate and extremely powerful.  My condor will shoot ragged hole groups with no problems at considerable distances....

I was thinking about buying a Dragon Slayer but think I'll get my 909 tuned instead. That will leave me with more money to go toward a Condor or a Talon SS.
