Little "twitchy" this morning. I guess I'm excited about the shoot this weekend!

I took a chance and decided to post. I've been shooting my 2300 10m at the gamo targets for a while so I decided to have a go at this.
I fall in the "not a match pistol" category but I think my scope may disqualify me. Regardless, it was fun to shot.
I think this was beginners luck. Put about 20 shots into a practice target then moved straight to this. Never shot it before that.

2300, scoped 4x
Beeman Coated wads .177
10m 2 hand

Great shooting Jeff.  This is a friendly comp.  Shoot what you brought.  But since you did shoot with a 2-handed grip, just divide your score by 2 (LOL). The 2300 is a fine pistol, especially with the 10' LW barrel.  Nothing about a 2300 to apologize about.

Yep...Fine shooting, Jeff.  Now you're ready to try it one-handed. :)

As far as "match" pistols goes, shoot what you have.  I'm shooting a 1377 with stock sights. I actually like shooting at 10M better than 5M with reduced sized targets. Maybe something to do with my earlier 22 rimfire & 38 center fire matches.

2300 with a 3-7x scope is too heavy for one hand.
I'll try my P3 one handed next week, heck I still have time - maybe I'll try it this week.

Excellent spring weather but had a +30kph tail-wind....don't think it really affected pellet trajectory at 10 meters. Sorry guys, I know....Match Pistol matches are supposed to be shot one-hand....but with the Diana P5 Magnum and it's kick...even though abit....it throws the shot off. Maybe I just need to practice more with it one-hand.

Whoops....4th shot must've been shot with a bad pellet.....

Gun: RWS Diana P5 Magnum, Sights: Fiber Optics, Pellet: .177 Crosman WadCutter, Distance: 10 meters,

Position: Isosceles stance, 2-Hand grip, Temp: +12C, sunny, +30kph wind, SCORE: 73

Gamo: Expotec .177 + Big Cat .177 + Viper .177 + Whisper .177, Hammerli Titan .177, Diana model 24 .177, RWS-Diana P5 Magnum pistol .177, Crosman: G1 Extreme .177 + Storm XT .177 + Sierra Pro .177 + 1377 pistol .177, Air Arms S410SL .22, BSA Scorpion T10 .22, FX Cyclone .177, Remington Air Master 77 .177 + BB\'s,

I gave in and tried this one handed. Results surprised me. I thought there was no way I'd be able to handle the 2300 with one hand but thought I might be okay with the P3
While neither was dismal, it turned out the opposite was true...

2300 - 1 handed = 76
P3 - 1 handed = 63

I gave it a try with my new to me Sheridan .20 CO2 pistol I picked up today. Iron sights with one hand at 10M. I need to get used to the trigger.
