need some b3 info / info on good cheap hunting gun

i somehow managed to break my stock b3 mainspring , and need some info on what will fit it . also what size threads are the forearm screws ? i  was plainging to finish the tune i started on it and give it to a hunting buddy of mine who needs a new air rifle but cannot afford one . even a stock spring would work for now , if any one has one . the seals are good all i need to do is find a spring , i dont have much cash until next month so i will prolly get one then .

if i cant find a spring what would be a good hunting rifle for him ? my fixed income limits what i can spend , i think i would have about $50 next month of extra cash after bills and things are payed .i was thinking of geting a new b3 and a tune kit and fix it up for him but am not sure .

The best cheap gun I can think of is a Winchester 800 at sportsman guide for $49.

that is a good deal , unfortanatly they will not ship airguns to michigan like alot of web sites even thoug it is .177 and perfectly legal to do so .

cleaned it all up striped all the camo off (my camo skills are not that great was good pratice )and painted the action semi gloss black and cleaned up the insides and lubed it up . also refinished the stock . just waiting for the spring , Ed thank you i hope you rememberd .

now that its mostly taken care of exept for the cocking lever clamp that i broke while remoiveing it , i was wondering what a good cheap hunting scope would be ? i was thinking of a daisy 3-9x32 if i can find one as i hear they are nice scopes for the price . i wound not mind a 4x or 6x 32 most my shooting is done in the 4-6 power range anyway . maybe a 2-7 ? i was looking at the 2.5x20 tech force scope , anyone have one ? i think it would be a nice compact scope for clsoe up squirrel hunting .  

i am still unsure if i am going to give kyle the b3 or buy him a new one , i realy like it . or if i could find a fast deer or .... i dunno i was thinking of tellign him i plan to get him a air rilfe and haveing him pick one out . not sure if thats a good idea or not .

thank you so much Ed . i think i may have found a scope it is from the diana 24 i had a few years back .  it is a 3-9x40bushnell sport view or something like that , it was lying around in my powder gun cabinet i think i used it on my savage 22lr this past squirrel season , it dose fog a bit now though i think hte nitrogen has leaked out .

redid the stock ,agin. i did not like the look of all that wood filler . also while i was at it i added finger groves and added spaces to the butt plate for some extra lop . made a cocking lever clamp out of some sort of plastic stock i had . still need to see if it will hold up but it seems like it will . still have some more stuff to do and should be up and shooting this week , if i can get some pellets im out :O how did i let that happed ?

i am still trying to figure out what gun to get kyle and what scope (still may give him the b3 i dunno ), no one has said if the tech fore scopes i asked about are any good . i saw the b-3-3 and that looks nice but kinda pricey . can any thing decent be done with the .177 call b2 ? all he needs is squirrel killing power not a super magnum 1100 fps monster .
