China Gun Price Increases?
« on: April 16, 2009, 01:54:11 PM »
I got a call from SDS the other day to find out that all the Chinese guns I had on back order went up significantly in price. Some went up by 20%, others by about 35%. I also received a 25% discount code from Compasseco on Tech Force products today but has anyone checked the prices at Compasseco recently? Does anyone know if this reflects a new tax or just an increase in manufacturing costs?

I was just saying over on the Dianawerk that I think you may see an increase in the prices of Chinese goods.  They are starting to work on their labor laws including minimum wage.  Even begun outsourcing to Vietnam.  Sooner or later, as their economy grows, prices will have to increase to meet the demands for a higher standard of living.  Get your Chinese guns now while they are still a good deal.  You never know.

That would be nice, but not judging by the 2 B2s I just received. The QB57 in 22 which had gone up about 20% did have a nicer looking QB57 etching/marking on the receiver and there was definitely less play in the barrel attachment than my last two. All the rifles worked fine out of the box but were definietly still a little rough around the edges. I haven't been following the prices on the lower end guns at Compasseco. Can anyone comment on which of these would be good values with a 25% off coupon? The coupon code was listed already by a member in the Bargain Gate, good through April 22nd. The 49, 58,and 59 look like good options but I'd rather avoid the direct sear guns and I don't know about the triggers in these..

Much higher U.S. debt/spending = lower dollar value - higher cost of imports.

Compasseco is raising prices, I haven't seen any increase yet from Xisico, it could be coming with the next shipment....with the dollar in the dumper it wouldn't surprise me any.
