I just have to say I love my r9! C-FX is still great but WOW!

My first gun was a tuned C-FX by BOB. Awesome shooter after the tune. I ran into a few problems and BOB was the absolute best at fixing things up for me. I wish I lived closer to him so we could shoot together. Anyway took the R9 to the basement for a 10m shoot and readjusted my simmons 44 mag scope for 10m and I was putting pellet after pellet through the same hole and dead center of a 10m target! I am going out squirrel hunting this weekend so I had to sight in for 30 yds. The winds stopped today so I took a few minutes to sight in out back. It took four shots to bring POI down but after that hitting sub dime sized targets offhand at 30. I am glad I waited until I had five rifles under my belt to get this one. I haven't hunted with it yet but I know it wil do great. I usually take the C-FX out and feel a bit guilty but the guys I hunt with all use 22 rimfires and kind of laughed the first time I went carrying a "BB" gun. I took 3 of our 5 squirrels and the laughing stopped. Each time out now I bring a different gun and they are amazed that anyone can have that many. After they shoot them they start talking about getting one. Thanks for all the help and advice here guys. I love this place and visit it about 8 times a day!

I know what you mean about the R9, I love mine.  Crazy accurate and just beautiful to look at and hold.  Enjoy your new gun.  Best of luck with it.

Hey Chuck

Heck I can never get Bob to go with me....:).. My feelins would be hurt if he went wiff you and not me... lol. That is great that you are having so much fun with those springers. My son in law thought  I was a bit fuzzy when I took my Shadow the first time out with him on a squirrel hunt.. LOL

After the first two squirrels he said... let me see dat thing a minute...hehe. Now he bugs me all the time to come and borrow one to go out in the evenings shooting around the woods by his place..

Ya got to love it. I am glad to hear another great report on the R-9.. One of these days, I am gonna have to spring for one..:)

Best of luck

Gene, I have to say it is well worth the money and I got mine off the classifieds but had never been fired. I now see a difference in performance with price, but still love the C-FX. I almost totally ignore my rws 48 now because it is so heavy.
Wit the collection you have, get one!

I agree, I think every springer guy should at least try an R9(HW95) if they can. I have one in .22 and it is such a nice shooting gun, the trigger is great as is just about everything else about the rifle.
