what scope do you recomend for a .25 cal webley patriot w/ a theoben gas ram

I won the webley patriot in the long island airguns raffle and i'm looking for a scope for it , i was thinking a hawke airmax 3-9x40
or a leapers gen 5, 3-9x40 but i called arizona airguns to pick their brains and they told me to get a scope that will handle the recoil
of this gun that i have to spend 2-300.00 and they recomended a bushnell elite ....What do you think ? are they just trying to get
me to spend more money?
