Information or Rebuilding a Crossman G1 Extreme.
« on: April 20, 2009, 08:51:52 AM »
I have seen the parts diagram online at crossman.  I just wanted to know what types of things such as Grease/lube, Spring compressor, other tools.  And also The steps to go about rebuilding my G1.  This would be my first rebuild and am looking to learn.  Any information would help.  Thanx

Be careful when you use the sping compressor to remove the spring,,,,, the plastic end cap is VERY easy to damage.........

The plastic cap is held in place by the pin that you must extract to allow the spring to be removed so you have to apply pressure with the spring compressor on the cap in such a way as to not damage it.....

Thanx for the info jeff.  I have some other questions that are probobly easily answered.  What parts should be lubed?  and with what?  for example I read that the spring should be coated with tar.    Thanx
