oh god this place is cursed...
« on: January 17, 2007, 07:44:07 AM »
So I'm thinking of getting a second gun (hahaha I know). I was thinking .22 so I could diversify my single .177 collection a little. I thought well the RWS 48 is powerful and then I thought the Beeman R9 gets high remarks and aint no slouch either, then I saw post on gas rams and thought that sounds awesome. I'm telling you guys this place is cursed, it sucks everyone in like the bermuda triangle, one guy here cant even get the ones he owns broke in before hes buying more, it unnatural like vampirism, I dont want to be divorced, I like my wife and child, its as though someone else controls my body...haha anyway what do you guys think would be a good second gun, I dont think I want a .177 and id like to stay under $500 with a scope/rings or under $400-ish without, k im gonna go have some garlic now and see if I still want one after that...thanks

...this is actually the third airgun forum I've frequented and I had the bug long before I showed up here:)

I think I have 12 now?  Is that right?  11?  13?  Virus causes you to lose your memory too:)

On pellets, they are a mixed bag. Their prices on Gamo is ridiculous, but on Premiers (with buy 3 get 1 free) I have found nobody to beat them.

a second gun is a sign of a long term problem! I started just a year ago and now own a r9, c-fx, rws48, varmint hunter, 3 b-3's a 1377 and 2 co2's. I haven't been to a meeting yet for this problem but my wife is sure I am getting some sort of thearapy on this forum! Little does she know that you guys are like sitting in a bar serving free beer for a recovering alcoholic!

so you have the R9 and the RWS 48? which one would you choose to do it all? You could only keep one which would it be?

Edit: I just saw where you posted an answer to another thread I had....so nevermind, Its great to hear from someone who has both, thank you!

I'll drink to that....
« Reply #9 on: January 21, 2007, 04:32:31 AM »
Course, it's been said that I'll drink to anything, but that's just a nasty rumor started by my drinking buddies :-)!  I'm starting to feel inadequate, I only have my CFX, Diana 350, IZH 61, and Crosman 1377.  I think the CFX should count twice with the gas ram though, and I have a $60 RJ breech on order for my $60 1377.  Gotta figure out some way to convince the wife that I NEED more air guns.  Gonna be a tough sell, she can NOT get it through her head why I need more that 1 in the first place...

Is there such an organization as Airguns Anonymous?
« Reply #10 on: January 24, 2007, 09:39:14 AM »
Hi my name is Mike and its been one day since I bought an airgun....

I was doing pretty well until I walked into my local Walmart a few days ago and spied three Gamo S1Ks for $74.00 on the clearance shelf.  Even though I have three of them already, a force beyond my control made me buy all they had.  I explained to my wife that you just can't pass up opportunities like this.  She is of the opinion that I should, but is letting me get away with it this time.

I have not mentioned the R9 that is on the way.  Hope it arrives when I'm at the house.

I tell myself that the R9 should complete my collection of CO2 and springer powered airguns, but PCP is a whole universe waiting to be explored.

I have been looking everywhere for one of those Walmart Gamo S1Ks and can't find one. Just wondering since you just bought three of them if you would be interested in selling me one of yours or trading for something of your interest, certainly would appreciate it.

My email address is http://www.lib7273@msn.com
