Mike Melick has mentioned some REALLY light valve springs and some other tricks to make them shoot at lower temps, but he also mentioned that they eat gas at that point. I would say, just from my guns that much under 60F is getting to be no fun, and I prefer 70F+. Most of mine have pretty hopped up valves too, I certainly wouldn't do any hunting with them in 50F or below unless I wanted the animals to laugh at me. Kinda odd, but in the spring I'll shoot cold gas, and in the fall I'll shoot a "springer"....funny to me at least:)
