So the one that counts is tad better than last week. I think this little plinker is capable of a 70-75 on this once I get used to the 10lbs trigger and sloppy sights,

The one the doesn't count actually came out pretty nice.
2300, 2 hand, scoped....

shoot the CP99 single action

Shoot the CP99 in single action (SA) mode.  Just pull back the slide, to cock the striker.  The trigger becomes a LOT easier to shoot than the heavy DA mode.
This is presuming you have the CP99, and not the CP99-sport (which I think is DA only).

I am. I was kidding on 10lb trigger, It's still heavy though. It's the sights that will be the real limitation once I get the trigger down. They are not lined up well, they are not adjustable, they are very wide and I'm a scope guy so I'm not used to focusing on the sights. I bought this hoping for a good quality can popper... which it does really well. With the laser on, I do much better.

I dunno, the DA trigger feels like 10 pounds, because of the combination of heavy and long pull.  I rarely shoot it DA.

Focus on the FRONT sight.
If you have trouble picking up the front sight, it may help to paint the back of the front sight with a bright paint.  Mine is painted orange.

gud luk

Sorry, too, guys.  Like Ronbeaux, the last two weeks I have been MIA on the shooting matches.  I am on vacation this week with the wife, kids and grandkids and it was firmly suggested that since I went to TX for the NTAGM shoot and since I will be going to Charleston for the next shoot in a few weeks, that perhaps I could leave the air guns at home this week.
