would anyone know,..................
« on: April 29, 2009, 12:04:20 PM »
if this particular mount will work on the benjamin pumpers ?

http://www.airgunwarehouseinc.com/py-a-431.html

if not, does anyone have any recommendations ? ive seen the 4pc mount that uses the air venturi as a base as well as the offset style mount, both however place the scope up fairly high.

thanks in advance guys !!

They spec it for your rifle.  I have an old 2-piece mount on my Blue Streak which has the benefit of a larger surface area to hold the mount firmly.

Although pumpers are kinetic PCP airguns and they have no recoil, the part of this mount that holds to the rifle doesn't have much surface area compared to the old Benjamin model or the current 4-piece mount.

In a quick google I found this one.

The one I have, which I bought in 1988, is the same shape but a 2 piece.  I would try to find the 2-piece mount if you can. But I would prefer the 4-piece to the B-Square option.

Hope this helps.

joe,...what would you recommend ? my concern is that most commercially available mounts ; ie the ( 4-piece,and offset mounts ) will raise the scope and sight picture substantially. this old benji has a very low comb making for a difficult cheek weld...............short of "adding" material to the stock to emulate a monte-carlo style comb........im kinda lost.
