Crosman and Daisy parts
« on: June 23, 2006, 06:15:34 AM »
Just orded via phone more parts for my Quest and my Legacy, and again Crosman customer support did not disappoint. A new spring and seal for my Legacy is all of $7.00... hopefully, that'll bring the velocity up to snuff.

Also called Daisy to see about getting a spare piston seal for my Powerline 1000 - no dice. They don't want anyone losing fingers while disassembling the gun - and no, they won't just let ME worry about it. They ARE allegedly sending me a diagram of the parts they DO sell, but the diagram isn't available online.

It's a shame - I know the Powerline has a lot of detractors, and it IS a harsh and crude gun that seems almost toy-like in some respects... but strictly in terms of power and accuracy it's hard to beat for the money.

Check out Hatsan for the Turkish version. Might be able to get parts through them since they manufacture it.
If you've had the gun for under 1 year, Daisy will replace the whole thing in most cases. No parts though.

I just lost a huge response on this subject. The worst part is that is was all my fault (can you say 'dummy'?).
Anyway, I had occasion to deal with Crosman customer service, a young lady by the name of Jan I think. They (she) took care of my concerns, mailed my part & I got it in two days. That's New York to New Mexico! If those people would start making ssp's I could become a one company owner. Oh, & hey Crosman, give that lady a raise.

Kinda doubt it. When I inquired as to different model availability, all they told me is: "Daisy is the importer".

But I'll ask...

The thing I don't understand about Crosman parts is that they're so stinkin' reasonable (price-wise). The Benji seal was under $3, and the spring under $5. Stuff for the Quest is comparable.

Heck, you can get a whole Quest/B19 (and Gamo?) compression tube (the "receiver") for $15.

There is another importer but their name escapes me at the moment. Will post it if I remember.

parts from Crosman and if you ask me, there are few people better to deal with. I ordered a barrel along with some breeches and other parts from them a couple of weeks ago and it was bad. I called them and they sent me a replacement the same day and told me not to even bother sending the other one back. A great staff over there.

their business around volume, customer service and repeat business. Not many large companies around anymore that weigh all of that into their marketing anymore. Especially customer service.

Oh, right - NOT Gamo on the compression tube. The Gamo breach-block is thicker.
