That's actually a tough question Jorge as there are more than a few variables to consider but my vote would be for an Air Force Talon SS. It's quiet, deadly accurate, the power wheel adjuster lets you easily and quickly go from a low setting giving you a ton of shots at lower FPS for indoor or target shooting to a high setting where you'll be spitting out 21 grain Kodiaks at 900 FPS for some serious hunting power. The other nice thing is that since all the Air Force barrels are interchangeable you can, in only a few minutes, change to an 18 or 24 inch barrel in either .177, .20 or .22 caliber. An added bonus is that if you purchase the CO2 adaptor you then have the option of running the gun on CO2. I just changed my Talon over to CO2 for this summers bird hunting and I have to tell you the accuracy and power I'm getting with the CO2 is very impressive,,, not to mention the fact that with my 20 ounce CO2 tank I can expect to get somewhere near 1000 shots before I have to get it refilled. Also,,,, there are a ton of "accessories" available for the gun from Air Force, not to mention all the "after market" mods that you can easily purchase.
Can you tell that I absolutely LOVE me Talon and my Condor ?? :)
I actually think of them not as rifles but as "weapons platforms" :)
Seriously though,,,,, I just can't say enough about the capabilities and performance of the 2 Air Force rifles I own. The options that are available to you with these rifles is amazing, as is the power and accuracy. I realize the "look" of the rifles may not appeal to everyone and I understand that, but if the "look" does appeal to you then I personally think the Air Force rifles definitely deserve consideration.....
Just my opinion..... others no doubt will disagree with me.....
There is also something to be said for the Discovery/pump combination. We all know that the pump is not the best in the world but it will get you shooting right off the bat and it's possible that the pump will operate trouble free for a very long time. The price of the combo certainly can't be beat,,,, for $400 bucks you're getting a PCP and a pump and you are all set to shoot. This gives you the option of taking your time about purchasing the scuba tanks and such that you may decide to get later. Discos have proven themselves to be very effective hunters provided you get a "good one". Getting a "prepped" one from MAC-1 or Mountain Air will pretty much guarantee that you do get a "good one" right out of the box.
Ok,,, I"m done..... Someone else's turn to recommend a shooting system........ :)
