Make sure the gun is not cocked and loaded!!!!!   The only thing that can drop out is the little roller that guides the cocking linkage on the inside of the stock.

Stanley is correct  about the roller.........the very first time I took a stock off one of my Gamo rifles I had that little roller left over laying on my work bench and it took me about an hour to finally figure out what it was and where it went  :)
