Slavia CZ-634, BSA 2-7X 32mm AO @7X, Crosman Wad Cutter, Premium Grade, .177, standing, off-hand at 10 meters
Score: 188, 7X
Very interesting. With the the very same rifle, I scored a 192, 4X shooting off the bench with JSB Exacts in last week's 30 yard bench match. I didn't touch the adjustments on the scope between last week's bench match and tonight's standing off-hand 10 meter match. The CZ seems to be almost perfectly zeroed at 10 meters with the wad cutters and at 30 yards with the JSB's. I tested the cheap Crosman's (think they were $4.99/500) against the Vogel Green match grade pellets costing more than twice as much and couldn't tell much difference, so I shot the match with the cheaper pellets. How convenient is that? I think this little air rifle is probably capable of a better score, but like my R-9GF / .20, I just need to shoot it more. ;->
PS: With Gene Curtis' tune, even on standard copier paper, with wad cutters, the CZ punches very nice, crisp holes, probably in the 725-750 fps range with the wad cutters.
