I have an untouched 440 hunter in .177 w/ S1k stock. Has a G1 Extreme style muzzle break no front sight but still has the rear sight. I was planning on sending this to my buddy Gene for a Merlin XL tune but I have a line on 4 new springers all due in within the next 6 weeks for evaluation and tear down new eval then for sale. Except 1 its coming tuned for personal use lol. 65 shipped.

If you don't mind me asking, what is a Merlin XL tune? How does it shoot now? If you would consider it, how much would you charge to work on it a little bit?  Also will it take the CDT's trigger?  Sorry for all the questions. Thanks. Terry

Hey Terry, for your information the merlin XL spring is a lighter spring than the Gamo's original spring. When the Gamo 440 .177 or any of the same powerplants are tuned using the merlin xl spring you will get a complete overall lighter cocking and shooting cycle. Your fps will be lower and in the high 700's to low 800 fps. I just completed the tune on a new Gamo 440 of my own using the merlin xl spring and the results were great.
