I started reading this forum about a month ago when I bought a Gamo 440 Hunter combo with scope.  After a month of messing with the gun, I decided to send it to Bob (aka Charlie) for a Turbo Tune.  I had to go away on a business trip for two weeks and was hoping it would be done when I returned.  Well, I must say Bob is an absolute joy to deal with.

From the start, Bob answered all my e-mails right away.  He sent me a message when the gun arrived at his place to let me know it was in good order from shipping.  I was hoping he would finish it in a week or two and he did it in one day !  Sent it back with an e-mail with the tracking number and I was able to follow the whole thing on the net while sitting in a hotel room in Japan.

I'm home from my trip now and got to shoot the gun today.  All I can say is WOW !  It's like a totally different gun.  Smooth, quiet, and the trigger modification is unreal.  Just the change in sound is enough to make me glad I did it.  Everything about this gun is better and the groups I am shooting now were never possible before the tune.

If you're wondering if you should do it, go ahead.  Bob is a great guy to deal with and his work is high quality.  Cost as much as I paid for the gun, but I have other hobbies that make it seem cheap.

Thanks Bob !

Hey Mike,,, welcome to the forum.  Yeah, Bob's reputation is well earned !!

I'm from NY also, Long Island, nice to see another NYer on the forum.  If you hunt, make sure you post some stories and pics on the "Hunting Gate".

Well, good luck with the new gun, will look forward to your future posts.

Hi Jeff,

I'm up in the Albany area and just getting back into air guns.  I still have a Sheridan Blue Streak .20 cal and a Crossman .22 cal from the mid-70's when I was a kid. I'm working on getting those refurbished as well. Quite addicting now that I've gotten into it again.

I got this Gamo after my father inlaw loaned me his Varmint Hunter to take care of some squirrels that are wreaking havoc at my house.  Found out about Bob on this forum and had to write something about the quality of his work since it was so well done.  I'll get some pics up in the other forum next time the squirrels are around.

Mike

Albany eh?

I was raised in Schenectady way back in the 70's.  I hear it's a whole different place now.

Welcome to the forums.

Hey Mike,

I also have a Sheridan Blue Streak .20 cal,,,, bought it new back in 1969, saved up my odd job money for couple of months to buy that gun.

The gun is 38 years old now and believe it or not the thing shoots like I just took it out of the box yesterday.  I just recently put a Tasco Golden Antler 3x9x32 scope on it and it's a tack driver.

The hobby  certainly is addicting to say the least. I just got into it last year and I'm up to 14 rifles already and just can't seem to stop.

Well, take care, good shooting.
