My Disco Chrony Numbers
« on: May 28, 2009, 11:05:30 AM »

I figured I would get a better responce here.

I just received my F1 chrony today.
I pumped my Disco up to 2100 Psi
And started a 25 shot string down to 1100 PSI

I started at 866.6 and ended at 852.1.
Highest number was around shot 15 at 919.3.
Does this sound right. I have a power adjuster and
have it turned in until I felt it make pressure on the
spring and then turned it in 1 more complete turn.

Here is my shot string. Does this sound right?
I am using .22 CPL 14.3 grn

1-  866 Start PSI 2100
2-  err
3-  872
4-  884.8
5-  874.8
6-  899.9
7-  897.3
8-  900.8
9-  906.1
10- Err
11- 914.2
12- 914.2
13- 918.5
14- 914.2
15- 919.3
16- 914.5  around 1500 to 1600 psi
17- err
18- err
19- 902
20- 909.6
21- err
22- 886.7
23- 872.6
24- err
25- 852.1 at 1100 psi.

Those are great numbers, 25 good shots,.
I decide to get one my self  and  it  just arrived   :) .
I will not test it untill I install all the bells  and whistles ,   custom stock, LDC , B. Band  , trigger job and sling.
I assume that's a .22 cal right ?

That's a different version,  it looks nice .
It is  different to what I've seen so far in customized  Discos.
what about accuracy and  how loud is it with that full shroud ?

why around 1600 PSI do you get your highest FPS? can someone explain why at 2100PSI you get less FPS then at 1600PSI?

It's called valve lock John. Too much pressure behind the valve prevents it from opening for longer. That's why PCP's have "power curve". There was a blog on Pyramyd Air explaining basic terms of PCP rifles, maybe someona has the link.

those are good numbers!I have mine set to shoot from 835 up to 855 and down to 830fps and I,m getting 45 shots from a 2100 psi fill down to 900 I have had her up to 2500psi put the 1st 10 shots were down in the 700's. I like the shot count and it stacks pellets just fine out to 75 yrds with ease so I realy don't crank it up unless I have to make a realy long shot.

Sorry for the delay.
I have been buisy or very tired from work.
We have two service techs covering a 4 man area.

As for the shroud, It is a full TKO shroud with the rjmachine riser.
I really don't know where to get it. It was on the rifle when I bought it.
If I find out I will post back and let you know.
