Casey, welcome to GTA!

crazyhorse (Richard) has been the point of contact for the PD range, which sounds excellent. He's the guy flipping shrimp.

triry (Jim) was our host at the kick off session. He is wearing a skull.

And the next outing was being put forward by CBR400RR (Scott), with the pretty stock on the 1377, and presumably his capable son Evan.

If you PM any of these guys you will get a response! You can click the username for the PM option or regular email.

Unfortunately I am out of town 11th to the 17th.

My contact (Danny) at the 10 meter match held at the SDPD pistol range is inquiring about use of the outdoor range on Saturdays for FT air rifle use...it appears SDPD do not train on that part of the range......he is very keen on promoting airgun activities and groups...I volunteered to be the go between so our Meet & Greet group knows about developments...

BTW..thier 10 meter match is a real neat set up...indoors. ...and really nice people to meet...Matches every WED 5-8 PM...

now this,...is simply amazing !!    im glad to see that so many san diegans are coming forward to support this mutually loved sport.
after speaking with rich (crazyhorse) this morning, i took the liberty of contacting some of my former peers in the LE community  . i think we may have far more support on hand than is realized.
i think its paramount that an ongoing forum of interest is maintained as well as continued participation in our upcoming meet-n-greets. looking forward to meeting more of you !!!!!!

Maybe we could get a local subforum here on GTA as a area to post local happenings. I know we have the SoCal forum but I think that's more designed and in the spirit of shooting matches. I'd like to see it part of this board because of the traffic this sight gets and  the wealth of information it provides from and for it's members.

jon,..i concur.
we've used up quite a bit of bandwidth for the san diego contingency of late. my only concern though is that by moving to a location specific forum, we may lose some exposure for those not yet familiar with GTA.............your thoughts..?

The question I had was stay here at GTA but have a subfolder for san diego. I know the have the SoCal subfolder but that is for shooting events. Maybe they could create one just for the san diego folks to gather since the herd is growing. Just a thought.

I suggest for the time being,we keep things as they are...and start a new thread re our next San Diego Meet & Greet event right here....we should continue posting results/pics of our Meet & Greets in this Airgun Gate forum for the exposure...lets take baby steps first....and let things evolve....also,it may create ideas for others on the forum in thier local areas and that would be good for the GTA communuty.....

If we create a sub folder,it will get buried in cyber space...

Good feedback that's why I threw the idea out there. I think your right about the fact that it could get lost in the cyber jungle outthere.

okay,..lol......we been moved. maybe as a collective group, we can seek out genes generous side and ask that san diego gets its own "regional events page" . as a whole, san diegans of late have posted far more for our recent and ongoing meet-n-greets than has the whole california membership in general. we can still post on the airgun gate and direct members to the southern california, or the possible san diego forum as events arise.
i believe that its encumbent on san diegans to foster and promote our own growth, a continuing dialogue, events and meets will do that.

any thoughts from you san diegans  ?

I was thinking San Diego could get it's own forum apart from the SoCal one to avoid confussion and support the local effort along with supporting GTA thanks Gene for a great website where we can all meet and shoot and share stories.
