how old is it? is it still under warranty remember if you take the stock off to check if the spring is broken it will void the warranty. But the funny thing is a new JM spring is cheaper than shipping to have it fixed,if you can do it yourself!

yeah a broken bigcat spring is a blessing in disguise cause now you get to put in a better spring for not a lot of money.

Honestly, I think the price and hassle of putting a Venturi gas ram in yourself, you're better off sending the rifle to Gene or Mike Melick for a tune a spring replacement.

More than $50.  I was suggesting since a gas ram costs $100, that $100 would be better put towards a new spring and tuning.  If you can do it yourself, then go for it.

Contact Gene and see what he charges to make sure.  But I think a "super tune" includes a new spring costs $119.

If you supply Mike Mellick a spring of your own, I think his rate is $70 for tuning and putting in the new spring.  He told me once that if I sent him a rifle, he would charge $70 to tune it with factory parts.
