RWS T5 T1 trigger diference?

Does anyone know the difference btw RWS T5 and T1 triggers?
Is it possible to tell by appearance?
And apps. when did Rws introduce T5?

The T01 trigger used 3 spring-loaded ball bearings to lock the piston rod into cocked position, while the T05 uses 2 sliding plates with oval holes in them that the piston rod fits through.  The piston rod ends are different, which is why you need to change the piston as well as the trigger group when going from T05 to T01 and vice-versa.  IIRC, the T01 has 2 screws in front of the trigger blade, while the T05 doesn't.  Some Dianas are also stamped with the trigger type.

Good info to know!!! Seems like a few months ago I saw a new Diana trigger that you could drop into a T-05 shooter. Maybe it was called the T-06,..but I can't remember. Has anyone heard any up-dates on this,...or did I mis-read the thread?!?!?! Thanks, tjk

I saw that, too. It's a straight drop-in replacement for the T05. Only difference is that it has a metal instead of plastic trigger blade.

Kevin, I think the T05 only has a single adjustment screw. My 46 has a T01, and it definitely has 2 adjustment screws forward of the trigger.

I believe that Diana phased in the T05 at different times in each gun's production run.  This question has come up before in other forums, and I don't think anyone's come up with a definitive answer.

Very useful information.
Is T5 much better than T1? in what way?

I don't believe the T05 is a better trigger than the T01 (anecdotal evidence on the forums says it isn't), but it's probably cheaper to make and quicker to assemble on the production line.
