i don't see where it says will fit a discovery. also if the price is $55 for 1 magazine that you need to rotate with your thumb you may as well just load it your self for that price.

It's a new product and is not yet on their website. You are obviously much more dexterous than I am and have not dropped the number of pellets when trying to load that I have.

I have a mag on my QB and rotating the mag yourself is 10 times better than trying to fumble with a pellet in a hurry. dont knock it till you try one.  it s not a 410 or a MDR ,,, but if the mag works like the QB, its worth the price. jmho

could you at least give us a youtube video of this mag in action? i still think $55 is a lot to ask for a mag.  i suppose if i had butterfingers then yes it be worth the bucks but i still like to see this in action before considering buying.

I e-mailed qbmags.com to ask if they were going to make one for the Disco and they told me they had just started selling one but hadn't had time to put it on their web page yet. They also said you have to slightly modify the Disco bolt or I could buy a modified bolt from them for 10.00,which I intend to do.I have seen the qb mag work on a video clip but I can't remember where i saw it.You can also carry a spare loaded cylinder with another type of pellet which you can change or just a quick reload without having to root around for loose pellets in the field.Anyway,I only found out about it today and thought I'd inform the Discoholics about it. I am going to try it out.%%*^(()*)%$*% and Archer Airguns sell the RIM qb mags;maybe they have a video clip.Try this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYUlAF5OF3g

I've seen a video on YouTube of a QB using a clip being rotated manually. It worked great. If/when hunting with a Disco....and you need a quick 2nd shot....that's the way to go.... For only $55.00, it's worth it. Consider if you buy a FX Cyclone or an Air Arms 410.....both with automatic indexing clips with a pull of the bolt....those air rifles are double or triple the cost of a Disco.
Gamo: Expotec .177 + Big Cat .177 + Viper .177 + Whisper .177, Hammerli Titan .177, Diana model 24 .177, RWS-Diana P5 Magnum pistol .177, Crosman: G1 Extreme .177 + Storm XT .177 + Sierra Pro .177 + 1377 pistol .177, Air Arms S410SL .22, BSA Scorpion T10 .22, FX Cyclone .177, Remington Air Master 77 .177 + BB\'s,

Hi Guys,
The site has now been updated to show the Disco /22xx rim mags. Yes the mounts are made to fit the 22xx/Disco Breech.
The mags are the same as the QB. Most people think the price is reasonable and if you want to spend less, the plastic cassette version is available. They function identically.

If you are interested in seeing a video of the Rim mag on a QB  here is the youtube link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvCUxvCDq7I

This is part 3 of a 3 part series showing  shooting. Parts 1 and 2 show how to load the mag.. I will try to make a quick video of the Disco  Rim mag shooting as well this week.  I need a tripod for my camera.

I think I can get a shot off in under 2 seconds and empty the 8 shot mag in under 15 seconds if pressed. That is with a  scope mounted. Most of that time is moving the bolt back and forth. I think you'd be hard pressed to do that loading the pellets individually.

It is probably not for everybody but the overwhelming majority of customers like them. I would not be making them for The Disco if people were not buying them for the QB. It was actually a request from many QB customers that led to the Disco /22XX version.

Does anyone know how much room is needed between the rifle and the scope for this to work. In other words, would extra high mounts be necessary?

Hi mounts work. Look at the Manual for the QB. It reccomends some mounts. Shoot me an email and I can give you a measurement from the flat that runs the length of the breech to the top of the mag/mount I am using the Tasco peep mounts

The custom bolt is shorter on the side that hits the cocking pin by about .120" The bolt probe also is .005-.010 "shorter than the standard
bolt.So you could modify a standard probe to make it work as well. For $10 I saved you the trouble. An extended bolt probe would more than likely cause loading problems. The remedy here would be to lengthen the slot in the breech so you could retract the bolt to clear the probe. A manual should be up on the site in the next few days. I won't do a video on removing the bolt. The Disco exploded parts diagrams are easily found on the web.

Thanks

Jay
