At this point, a question that comes to my mind is, since i'm going to replace the spring guide, what is the best option.

1. Delrin guide, with washer
2. Aluminum guide with washer
3. Stainless Steel guide

Its an easy enough part to turn, so I think I can get it in either of the materials, fairly easily...

What do you think?

i say stainless steel. remember that tension is applied constantly and the harder the material the less stress fractures will occur.
