Yep my new baby girl arrived today and she is a beauty. Awesome wood stock and beautiful bluing. One of the nicest out of the box shooters that I own now..

She even looks prettier than my AA 410 Classic Walnut stock..
All kidding aside, I was very impressed with the overall fit and finish on my new HW-97 .177. Right down to the last detail. Fortunately I had gotten a tip on a good price and could not pass this one up. After unpacking her I quickly run a couple patches through her and wiped her down real good. Cleaned the doves off with alcohol and also my new one piece mount. Put a dab of red locktite on her and set up the scope exactly where she was perfect for me.. I used the mount set screw as well but could not wait to shoot her..

After the scope was on and mounted securely I sighted her in. I used a new accushot one piece mount with a new Hawke Map Pro 4-16X50 AO Ballistic scope. Very clear glass and was a cinch to site in.
The first 30 or 40 shots was very weird. Was using CP lights .9gn. I noticed that after about 20 shots I got three in a row that went super sonic. Then another 10 shots and a couple more went super sonic. So I switched to the JSB's. I was kinda worried that maybe the spring was damaged but not a chance..

After switching to the JSB's she shot great after tweaking the scope for the JSB pellets.. Had a great time shooting her and she rates right up there with my BSA Lightning as far as accuracy goes off the bench. I am not one who likes rifles over7 lbs but since the HW-97K is a carbine she balanced perfect for me. She is another KEEPER for sure..

Peak, David and Dano have all expressed how nice of quality the HW is and believe me the HW 97K is one very sweet looking air gun and she is as accurate as they get.
Here are a few pictures to share with you all. I am a Proud New Father Again...

I just love dim German Ladies:)
