Follow up on the Hammerli Pneuma

Well, I've had this for several weeks now, and have been shooting it off and on since then.  After my initial tear down, it's been shooting really well, although the trigger continues to be an issue.  BTW, the trigger on this rifle is NOT a true 2 stage trigger, the "first stage" is just a coil spring acting only on the trigger blade.  I finally pulled the trigger assy out again last night, ended up removing a spring, and finally have a trigger pull I can live with.  Kind of creepy, but at least it's now light enough I can pull it without pulling the rifle off target :-).  It prefers hard pellets like CPH's, the softer Kodiaks and JSB's open up considerably.  Oddly enough, it also shoots Crow Magnums well, at least at 25 yards.  Shot several nice little cloverleafs with it the other night, enough to rule out the possibility of a fluke.  So it likes it's pellets either hard or long, and yes, I know that sounds like a line from a bad joke, my apologies :-).  One other issue to be dealt with, it leaks air from both ends of the air tube.  That looks like it's going to be a hassle, I think the valve and filler/gauge are both lock tited.  And as the valve is soft brass, getting it out without trashing it could be a challenge.  So if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.  Later.

Dave
