Was going to shoot 3 matches tonight....weather person said it's going to rain for the next 2 days and maybe even Sat. Only ended up shooting 2 due torunning out of time shooting over 70 shots with 4 types of pellets to see which grouped well out of my Gamo Viper. Not conclusive yet.....Crosman Hunting, Ultra Magnum and Hollow Points shot pretty good but all had some flyers as shown on my target sheet.

Rifle: Gamo Viper, Sights: Gamo 3X9-40mm 9X, Pellet: .177 Crosman Premier Hollow Pt. Distance: 30 Yards,

Dunno if I'm gonna get a chance to shoot this match this week.  The gamo scope stop didn't work for me unfortunately.  The good news is the Beeman peep arrived this afternoon.  Very promising so far, but I need to practice with it before taking a real stab at this kind of distance.

I shot an unconventional version of this match today.  I used the gamo targets at 30yds because the 8, 9, and 10 rings are the same size as the 20 bull, but I just can't see the 20 bulls through the peep sight.  Well, I could see them, but I can barely distinguish one from the other.  I scored it two ways:  One was every point counts (so I could feel all warm and fuzzy), and the other was to follow the 30 yd Bench convention of anything less than an 8 counts as a zero.

May I include it in this match with the "less than 8 = 0 points" scoring?  I'd like to keep shooting this distance even without a scope.

Cool & thanks.  I might get my scope issues resolved, I might not.  Just ordered my final option from pyramyd, UTG Mount and Leaper rings.  If that doesn't do it, I'm giving up on glass. :)  No matter what happens, I'll keep shooting in every match I can.
