swift airgun rated scope...
« on: June 19, 2009, 02:35:39 AM »
this was my first swift scope and all i can say about the optics is WOW!  it is a 6.5x20x44 ao scope.  the turretts for mag and focus turn easily, not like some of the other scopes i have.  the only drawbacks i have with this scope is the weight.  its a whopping 23oz.  so it adds another pound and a half to a nine pound eliminator.  i spoke with swift on the phone before purchasing about the recoil of airguns and they told me all their "ag" scopes won't break due to recoil or they will replace them.  the pricing on these scopes are comparible to other brands of the same quality.  i tested the optics last night around 8:15 pm with thunderstorms in the area so there was dim light and this scope gathers light extremely well.  i will mount it this evening and zero tomorrow.  i may be purchasing more of the SWIFT line of scopes.  :)

for a test, i'm gonna mount it on the theoben eliminator and then the rws-54.  if it can handle those two guns, it can handle anything.  i know a guy that has one on an armalite .50 cal and it is still working fine. :)

I had a nice Swift scope & found it to be an excellent scope, you shouldn't have any problems blowing any scopes on the Eliminator with the attached Dampa mount. I used some of the cheapest scopes on my Eliminators,,all three .20 .22 & .25 & never had scope problems,I guess that's why they charge $110 for a Dampa mount! Looking forward to some pics of the Eliminator with that new Swift scope! :)  ENJOY THAT BABY! :)
