Air Brake for Gamo Varmit

I am thinking about getting an after market air brake..  What do I get and how is it attached to the barrrel?  Some of the pictrues show a screw, so do you tighten the screw against the barrel?

It depends on the dia. of the barrel. What brake are you buying, and what gun is it going on? If it's a Beeman it comes with two different dia. sleeves. You pick the sleeve that slides over your barrel. Then put you brake over that and tighten the set screw against the sleeve. If it's a good fit against the barrel without using a sleevel, then yes, you tighten it against the barrel. Beeman brakes come with easily understood instructions.

Thanks.  This would go on a varmit hunter rifle, so first there is a sleve and then the break goes over that and then tighten.   Any suggestion for a break?

This is the only one I've used, in fact have three of them. Very easy to install, ... Maybe someone else has a different suggestion. ... http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Beeman_Universal_Muzzlebrake/949
