New Marauder On The Way
« on: July 09, 2009, 03:24:11 PM »

After many long hours of research and weighing options,
my dang buy now finger did it. I have a new .22 Marauder
with an extra clip on the way.

Thanks to every one for all your patience and counceling
and for allowing me to call and bug the te-total hockey
out of some of ya: (Gene, Timbo, Randal, Dave and my bud Brent).
Your sage guidance and support has helped me through this most difficult time in
life with my addiction.
Thanks to all my GTA buds for your email, pm's and "Please by this gun and go away" notes.

Cant wait to get my hands on her and start the molestation.

OH YEAH!!!!!!

Congratulations Paul!  Enjoy the new shooter! You made a good decision.  Are you going to pogo pump or scuba tank fill?  I, myself, pushed the button tonight, not for a new Maurauder, but for a new hand pump to use as a back up, and to take with me to the mountains when I hunt.  Joe Cuz / Long "Guyland" Airguns made me a pretty good deal, if you are shopping for accesories.

I'm doing the scuba thing.
I have the pogo as a back up.
At least I didn't push the button by myself.
Did Joe finally get the marauders in?

Have no fear on this one, bud, and congrats! I will have to try the bumblebee headshot flying one of these days- glad I got the side focus!

I knew I was going to buya .22 Marauderas soon as they published the release info, like some guys know the girl they are going to marry the minute they see her. They are really very sweet guns.

I actually agonized more over the scope for this one, than I did the rifle itself. I went with the Hawke Eclipse SF (after building a little comparison spreadsheet and pondering web reviews for many weeks) and it is really, really impressive. I am happy with most of my AG purchases, but this combination was extraordinary. Please let us know when she crosses the threshhold!

Don't know, but I'll wager if he did that he bought the first 2 or 3 for himself.  BTW, will the Marauder be available in .20 cal?

You know, that's a good question. If they do, that would probably be what Randall would be looking for.

I think a .20 cal. barrel swap would be easy enough on a Marauder.

Peak, if I'm not mistaken, isn't the barrel choked and is it easy to choke or get a choked barrel?

No, you might not end up with a "choked" barrel, but the HW and LW barrels are pretty well known for their accuracy.   :)
