Marauder.. worth it?
« on: July 13, 2009, 05:35:20 AM »
Sure looks really nice, although heard there arel some issues on new marauders..
is it worth it to pay 499 for one??
OR just add 100 more bucks and get an Evanix AR6/AR4
or an Evanix Renegade Rifle??
anybody had some experiance with this 3 rifles?

Pedro, you can't go wrong either of the rifles, however if power is what you want, then go with the Evanix AR6,it's an excellent, well made rifle(you can also check out the Blizzard, which is much quieter).  If you want a super quiet gun with enough power then get the Marauder,I experienced all three guns & I will say that all are very nice guns. The Blizzard puts out close to 50 ft. lbs.& is dead accurate & quiet for that much power, The AR6 has been around the longest & is also very accurate & powerfull but it's extremely loud, The Marauder puts out about half the ft. lbs. of the Blizzard but is extremely quiet & accurate, I'm sure your more confused now! LOL!

Hi...The AR6 is a great gun  lots of power but is best used
for longer range shots as it has no power adjuster and is only good for
around 15 ful power shots...
Its not a back yard plinker or nutter gun
they will toss a 32gr sam yang @ 970fps  giving 65fpe
you can't really use lighter pellets "16gr" as they go near 1300fps
20/22gr is the lightest you really want to use...
I would say get one if you have a use for the power...other wise
look hard at a blizzard.....

AR6 History...
Evanix' was contracted by the Koreain gov to build a air gun to
control the monkey prob they had in there citys...
And the AR6 was born...hense the nick name "Monkey gun"
But has been refined since the first ones..It was the early ones
that gave Evanix a bad name for a while....Even FX use Evanix
barrels these days.....

Ps....If you do get a AR6 order some real good ear muffs as well.....

I love mine and would NEVER part with it

They are also a full repeter / semi auto....
They will fire as fast as you can pull the trigger
till the mags empty......
