Logun S16 PCP
« on: July 16, 2009, 08:30:25 PM »
Hi...I have been looking at laying out the notes for
a logun S16.... They are about the only starwars style
PCP that I have taken a likeing to...And the 16 shot mag
helps....Has anyone had anything to do with them...
are they good/bad/junk ?? Any issues I should know about ..?

Not interested in condor's / FX etc

Had a yen for one of these myself, so did a bunch of research.  This is all hearsay, I have no personal experience.  First, it's heavy, around 8 lbs. or so.  Where the Talon is aluminum, the S16 is steel.  Also, the earlier ones had lots of seal problems, and they're NOT easy to work on.  As I understand it, that improved a lot with the later models.  Ergonomics is better than the Talon/Condor, I seem to recall some complaints about the trigger, but don't remember any details.  Not a lot of them around, so getting service could be an issue.  All that aside, you don't see them come up for sale that often, so the people that have them tend to hang onto them.  I seem to recall some cocking/loading issues as well, but again, much improved in the later models.  I'd say go for it, but unless you want a rifle guaranteed to leak, stay away from the early models.  Never heard any complaints about power, consistency, or accuracy, and the fully shrouded models are supposed to be VERY quiet.  Hope that helps.

The latest and gratest is the S 16 evo.  Supposed to be totally upgraded, less jamming and blown o rings and such.  If you have a good book store near by, not a wal mart, do a search for 'airgun world'.  Its from the UK and they did a test on it about a year ago.  Only problem is the darn thing costs $10.50 and all the prices are in euro's!!!  Other than that it might help you some.
