My Wife Wants A Scuba Tank.
« on: July 17, 2009, 12:57:22 PM »

I came home from work today ready to start breaking this Marauder in some more.
Shooting is the most relaxing thing in the world to me.(As long as no one is shooting back)

My wife has been a real doll. I had the Disco and the TX and she knew I was wanting the Maudy.
She knew I had saved up my money, like a good little boy to get it, but I just couldn't see doing it.
As you may recall, I told her I would have to sell my tx to get it. She told me, you make the money,
you saved up for it, get it. She also said, I know you love that TX, keep it and get the Maudy.
How could I do that to a woman like her? I just couldn't do it.
I bought the Maudy and sold the TX. (Now I am may use that money to get a Blizard :))

Well, while I have been playing, the wife has been painting in the house and texturing the boys bedroom walls.
It looks really great. She has been getting little things, (about $500 worth), and making it look nice.
When I came home today, she was on te pc looking at something for the bed. (Mind you she just spent $65 on a quilt today).
She saw something else she wanted. She was trying to find a way to ask me for it, so she used airgun lingo with me.
"Honey, I want a scuba tank". I knew what she was wanting so I answered her back in "AIRGUN TALK",
NO, I want you to stay on the pogo stick.

We both had a laugh out of it, she has her scuba tank on the way and me........
I been talking to Joe cuz, he he he he.

I'm not sure how to respond to that, except at my age I would go for the scuba tank.

Sounds like you got a real Sweetheart Paul. She gets a scuba tank and then you can get one too

That's a good one you got there (woman, and gun). I am lucky that way, too.

I really think anyone who starts with the Marauder is going to end up with a tank. I would like a pump for topping off in the field, I guess, but the tank is just the way to go with a 3000 psi gun.

No offense to anyone still pumping and like I say, I will get one eventually. But dang it is just too convenient to turn that valve and be back shootin' with a steady heartbeat. And it will work for any future PCPs, err, "quilts", that might come your way!

Shadow, what made you choose the Maudie over the Blizzie?

They both had the same features I wanted in my rifle.
The marauder was lighter, shorter and I knew I would get more shots per fill.
The blizzard packs alot more punch and better for taking game at longer ranges.
Most of reasonable hunting shots are withing 30 yards anyway so the Marauder
fit the bill for all I really needed.

However, I feel a cold front moving in.
I see a Blizzard in the forecast very soon.

I guess that is a little hard to respond to, but well worth the laugh.
