Ahhhhhh!
« on: July 26, 2009, 12:48:59 PM »
Well, back in the mountains.  It was 94º F when I crossed the SC-NC boarder at around 5PM .  It was 72º F when I got to the mountain place at 3200 ft a little before 6PM.  Grilled chicken breasts with some new potatoes and  a fresh green salad with home grown tomato.  Fresh peaches with vanilla ice cream for desert, and then this sunset.  Life is good.

As a matter of fact, I brought both the CZ-452 Varmint 17 HMR and CZ-527 Varmint .223 and a large amount of ammo to keep me company.  I also got back to the 100 yard targets I left up here from the last trip.  Want to see pics?

Hey Kirby... you really do need to get up there sometime. Tommy has invited me up there several times and I really enjoy it when I go. It is a beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet and somewhere that you would never get tired of. The drive up is quite a trip but well worth it. All kinds of hunting area as well as for target shooting. He has quite a setup there.  And Tommy and his wife are great hosts and fun to be with.

See you guys tomorrow and Tommy... I'll bring that Crosman 150 that I told you that I would pass on to you.

A well deserved rest at an outstanding area like that and you may not even want to come back.

Beautiful!
