SDPD meet & greet shoot....Sat August 15...

As I mentioned in another post,I am now authorized to supervise/host fun shoots at the SDPD range when the regular coordinator is absent. (Danny will be absent this Saturday August 15,so I will go and coordinate the shoot....)

We have two options: Start at 8:00 AM....or....start at 12 pm....so let me know which you prefer for this coming Saturday...

Also..I will go and be there if we have at least 3 shooters besides myself...I have access to target backers but you must bring your own targets or purchase those sold at the range...(25 yard pistol targets).

My responsibilty lies with range safety and going hot/cold on line...(we can be flexible on shooting either 25 yard or 50 yard or can do both at same time...)

Please respond in this thread by no later than thurs evening if you can make it...

Let me check with my wife but morning might be good.....either time is probably OK.  I will be there with something....my Diana 34 with open sights if I can't get my HW97 back together....anybody feel like being a human spring compressor? LOL.

I am also going to bring a used chrony I picked up.  I've been dying to get some velocity numbers so I can mess with my Chairgun software.

Thanks Rich!  It will be nice when I stop tinkering for a change and start shooting :-)

But I'm glad I went to .177 - it will give me a flatter trajectory for the kind of shooting we are doing since I don't plan to hunt nor do I need knockdown power.

Here's a word to the wise as well - don't work on your gun at 12:30am forgetting that you left the scope rings a bit loose.  You then will pick up the gun the next day, test fire it several times and realize your scope has moved in the mounts and gotten all scratched.... SIGH.... you PCP guys don't have that issue.  :-)
