Gamo PT-80 and Winchester 800x(non-combo)
« on: August 12, 2009, 07:47:38 AM »

If anyone is interested, I was at K-Mart in Beaufort, SC and saw the Gamo PT-80 pistol on sale for $32 and the Winchester 800x rifle in .177 on sale for $41.

If you still have a local K-Mart, this is the deal of the year.....................

Thanks for the tip Chris,.. for the price, I may try the Winny for my daughters first springer. If it's a Hatsan made rifle,..a basic lube tune will make them much nicer to shoot. They're pretty raw out of the box,..but with some TLC they don't turn out too bad! tjk

A few months ago I got a Winnie 800 from Sportsmansguide and I gotta tell ya...... it's a hard smacking rifle !!!  Made it my truck gun and it's always tucked safely (and padded) under my rear truck seat.  I've nailed crows with that little Winnie at 30 yards and they dropped like rocks.   I'm gonna visit my local K-mart tomorrow and see if they have any.... wouldn't mind having a spare :)

The Winnie 800 is a great hunter, just traded my 800 for a sweet little small varmint shooter. Ed

I had a 100 dollar bill in my pocket, bought 2 for my sons. I couldn't resist. Whats even worse is that when I got to the truck and started it, my gas light came on...lol!!!

I'm kind of a newbie to airgun shooting. But I think the 1000B is a great deal for $72.  I bought one a couple of weeks ago.  But it has got to be one of the hardest cocking springers!  It has loosened up a bit after a couple hundred shots.
It's also a bit of a twanger.  But there are easy tuning mods to tame it. I mounted a 3x9 Centerpoint scope. The Kmart versions
DO NOT come with scope.  It is a very accurate and powerful rifle. I also have a Crosman 1000XT Storm. The Winny seems more powerful.

Welcome Terry,,, nice to have you with us....

I have a couple of the Winchester 1000's and yes they are a bit "crude", but oh boy do they hit hard and shoot straight.  Just takes a bit of time to get used to shooting it.  I love mine, they are the hardest hitting .177's in my arsenal and both are deadly a

BTW.... the triggers on both of mine go better with use..... they're still not great but they are much better now.....
